Before you arrive / FAQ:
Tips to make your piercing experience a great one!

While visiting our shop, please:
Do not touch your piercings (healed or not).
Do not touch your nose, face, or mouth.
Do not touch or handle jewelry or displays.
This is for infection control purposes (keeps you and our staff safe :))

Required Documents

Adults (18+): Must have a valid photo ID (not expired), CWP, passport, or military ID.
Minors: For the minor we need to see: a school photo ID, birth certificate, valid DMV permit/license, or passport. Parent/legal guardian must be present, they must present their ID.
No ID = NO piercing; we pride ourselves in following all SC DHEC regs and laws. Copies or photos of documents (such as IDs) will not be accepted.

Do you take walk-ins?

We only take walk-ins at this time. If we're open, we have a piercer on site!

Age requirements

We don't have age requirements to enter our shop, families are welcome! (please watch your little ones)
We do have age requirements for some piercings, which is based on anatomy or personal preference of the piercer.
Our staff will perform most piercings after the age of 12. We have 1-2 piercers that perform ear piercings under age 10, including babies. Please contact us to verify their availability before arriving.

Eat before you arrive

We recommend eating a decent meal within 1-2 hours of getting your piercing. At the very least, we recommend snacking on something sugary to keep your blood sugar up. Eating minimizes the risk of fainting.
If you ever feel weird or light-headed, it is okay! Let us know, sit down, and we will take care of you <3

Piercing Disqualifications

Things that will disqualify you from getting pierced:
Alcohol/drugs: We cannot and will not pierce an individual that is intoxicated. Even if you are not intoxicated, alcohol consumption can cause excessive bleeding.
Medical conditions: Certain medical conditions may require a doctor release form to be completed before you can receive a piercing.
Medications: The biggest thing we are looking for is Accutane and prescription blood thinners.
Anatomy: Sometimes a client simply doesn't have the right anatomy for a specific piercing. This one is out of our control: we want our clients to get pierced safely and heal well without complications.
Other: We can't pierce unhealthy tissue: scar tissue, active sunburn
on piercing area, active infections, or piercing sites that are not fully healed.

"Can you pierce me with my jewelry?"

tl;dr : The short answer is no.

While it is possible to use jewelry that a client brings in, it is usually not suitable for initial piercing. Usually retail jewelry is not suitable for initial piercing because: improper length, poor materials, exposed threads, incorrect gauge, novelty use only, shape/size not suitable for initial piercing. Furthermore, jewelry must be sterilized in our autoclave prior to piercing, this takes about an hour.

If your jewelry meets this criteria, we might be able to accommodate your request:
*Must be ASTM-F136 implant grade titanium, ASTM-F138 implant grade surgical steel, 14k gold, or 18k gold. The bar must be long enough for initial piercing and free of defects.

We prefer to select the best jewelry lengths for our clients and all of our jewelry is sterilized and ready for initial piercing.
