We are a family owned and operated body piercing facility in Mauldin, SC!
Our goal is to provide safe piercing for a variety of budgets.
Customer service is everything to us, we want all of our clients to be satisfied with their jewelry and piercing experience.
Brief history:
Whatever 3 opened in 2001, and maintained a body piercing license every year since. In August 2020, Whatever 3 was purchased/acquired by our family. We attended the 2023 APP conference! In July 2024 we moved our shop to our new home in Mauldin, SC.
Our Process
We pride ourselves on our sterile practices and sterile technique: single use sterile surgical gloves, single use sterile needles, sterile jewelry, and maintain strict sterile technique throughout procedures.
We have 2 autoclaves and conduct weekly spore testing.
We are a walk-in only shop.
We keep a full stock of out-the-door priced piercing options in the piercing room, but we also offer custom piercing options. Simply ask for a custom piece and we'll help you with the rest. This only requires 7-8 minutes to sterilize thanks to our Enbio S autoclave.
For minors under age 10, please call our shop ahead of time.

Meet The Team
Mason - Owner/Former Piercer
Hi I'm Mason, I do all of the back end work in the shop: from jewelry orders to facility administration. I pierced for 2-3 years. I handle custom jewelry orders and I anodize jewelry, some with a very unique style.
Fun facts:
>Worked in engineering before acquiring this business. While passionate about engineering, having a family business is something special!

Rhiannon - Owner (HR?)
Owner's wife. Spent a lot of time shaping the business into what it is today. Strong background in management prior to business.

Sara - Piercer
Hello! My name is Sara and I've been piercing professionally at Whatever 3 since 2020. I have two children and in my free time love to watch anime, game on my pc, and hang out with my family whenever I can. I would say my favorite thing about being a professional piercer is helping customers with long-term setup goals. Seeing their face brighten melts my heart and makes me feel like I’m doing something meaningful for people. My top priority is to make my customers feel as comfortable as possible by using my goofy/ warm personality. Clarissa - Piercer
My name is Clarissa, I have been a full-time piercer since 2020. My goal as a piercer is to always make sure the customer is comfortable and ensure quality and satisfaction. My strive for knowledge in the piercing industry is everlasting. There's always new information and methods surfacing. The APP ( Association of Professional Piercers) has been my biggest inspiration and source of information. My goal is to some day become a part of that association. Every day, I come closer to that goal thanks to my loyal customers! <3

Hi, my name is Frey and I am the “baby piercer” at Whatever. I started my journey in February 2025 and am growing more every day. My favorite piercing to perform is the rook piercing and I love building ear curations/setups for clients. My favorite things when it comes to jewelry are white gold and black onyx, rhodolite or tourmalated quartz I have a kitty who I spoil like my own child and spend my off days shopping, dyeing my hair or gaming on my pc.
